MHL finals tomorrow!!

Los Angeles will meet New York for the final game of the season tomorrow in boys floor hockey. With New Yorks tie today vs. Chicago they secured 2nd place with LA taking 1 st overall.  Should be a great game. It is scheduled for 12:25 in the gym. Do not miss this game. Should be great.

Boys Hockey

The drop in hockey this morning turned into an all out war! Lucky to have Mr. Martin there to display some scoring genius with four goals for Team Canada. Credit to all players who played all out for almost 30 minutes. Excellent job to all. Also Allan.... you rocked in net. Allan Roberto Luongo....

Wednesday morning Girls hockey

Reminder to all girls. If you do not have appropriate footwear for sports( any sports) in the gym, you will NOT play. It is not safe and defeats the purpose of being there. Thanks and hope to see a big turn out tomorrow!

Thursday Futsal

The grade 5's got a team together this week and gave the teachers a scare. The final score was 4-3 for the teachers but there was some close calls that almost tied it up for the grade 5's. Good job to the future stars of Mackenzie elementary soccer! The teachers are hoping to get Mr. Millway back in action as he has been busy with his grade 7's for the past couple of weeks. Oh and thanks to Mr. Martin and his hat trick performance! See you next Thursday.

Soccer at Memorial park

Despite some exciting soccer fun this week at Memorial park , we are regrettably not able to continue. Mr Coo. and I are working hard behind the scenes to get us back out there, however, for the near future we are going to have to put this one on the shelf. There will be dryer days to come and we hope to get back out on our beloved home field pitch once again(minus some doggie doo doo land mines we hope!).
As for our fabulous T-shirts, they are currently on order and I expect them some time soon. Can't wait!

Wednesday morning soccer at Memorial park

Hey sleepy heads. Wake up. Miller and Coo are once again hosting a ton of fun soccer at Memorial park. Wednesday mornings at 8 am. Meet at the park or at school and we will all walk over together for fresh air, exercise and always a whole lot of laughs! Look forward to seeing a good group come out!

Team Canada ties grade 7's

A great Futsal game today in the gym. In case you missed it, the grade 7's came from behind to tie Team Canada 1-1. Both teams had many chances to score but couldn't get a second one. Mr. Miller had numerous chances but said " the net looked 2 feet wide today. I just couldn't find a spot to put it past Haseim."
Team Canada is proud to announce a new member to it's ranks. Our Kindergarten teacher Ms.... ahh I'll have to check up on her last name, but she played great and when I figure out her last name I'll let you know. "She fit in seamlessly" said Miller time, "and if Coo doesn't start scoring, he'll be sitting on the bench holding Mr Miller's water bottle!" Next week there will be a line of grade 7 allstars  ready to go. Watch out boys!
